An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Securities Litigation Associate to join a market leading plaintiff side litigation practice in New York or Los Angeles. This role offers exposure to some of the most significant securities fraud matters globally, acting on behalf of institutional investors to drive accountability, strengthen corporate governance, and achieve precedent setting market reforms. The position is well suited to a highly motivated, intellectually curious lawyer with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for investor advocacy.
Responsibilities:
- Litigate complex securities fraud and shareholder class action matters on behalf of institutional investors
- Develop and execute litigation strategy in high profile, large scale securities cases
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court submissions
- Analyse financial statements, market disclosures, and trading data to assess potential claims
- Work closely with clients, experts, and co counsel throughout all stages of litigation
- Take on meaningful responsibility across multiple complex matters, often opposing senior defence counsel
- Contribute creatively to identifying new cases and advancing innovative legal theories
Qualifications:
- J.D. required (2020–2024 law school graduates preferred)
- Admission to the New York and/or California Bar
- Prior experience in securities litigation, class actions, or other complex litigation
- Strong academic credentials; judicial clerkship experience is a plus
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong financial literacy and ability to engage with complex financial concepts
- Entrepreneurial, proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative
- Demonstrated interest in representing investors rather than corporate defendants
- Strong time management, communication, and multitasking skills
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $185,000–$320,000, depending on experience and qualifications
