Austin Motel is seeking a friendly, energetic, and service-oriented Seasonal Pool Bartender to join our team for the summer season. This role is responsible for crafting and serving beverages to guests at our poolside bar, ensuring an exceptional guest experience in a fun and fast-paced outdoor environment. The person in this position must have excellent communication skills, the ability to resolve conflict, and a thorough understanding of Bunkhouse policies. A Pool Bartender must develop and maintain the company’s culture, values and reputation in the public eye and with all staff, guests, vendors and partners.

Key Responsibilities:
Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
Mix ingredients to prepare and garnish cocktails and other beverages according to Bunkhouse standards
Serve snacks or food items to customers as requested or submit order to Kitchen
Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive display
Help plan and organize the menu and operations of the Cocktail Lounge or Bar
Ensure immediate response is given to any and all guest comments and concerns and inform immediate supervisor of concerns and assist implementing corrective measure when necessary
Collect money for all orders taken
Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
Balance cash receipts
Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers’ excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons
Order or requisition liquors and supplies
Ask customers who become loud and unruly to leave
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position. This person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Furthermore, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED). College Degree preferred
Six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace
TABC License required
