Seasonal Grass Mowing at the Appleton International Airport

The Seasonal Worker will assist in the maintenance of the grounds

This is a seasonal position. May be required to work indoors when weather is poor on different tasks.
Hours are:Monday-Friday 07:00 AM - 3:30 PM with possibilities of overtime

**Desired start date is beginning/middle of April but is flexible.The following duties are most critical for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Mowing all assigned areas using a lawn tractor.
Using a weed trimmer.
Using basic hand tools to do general maintenance.
Painting outside fixtures.
Other duties may be assigned.

Must be 18 years old or older
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain.
Prior experience with light tractors and zero turn lawn mowers with bagger is preferred.
As this position is employed at the airport will be required to successfully complete required airport background check.

Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, proactively identifying tasks and responsibilities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Ability to budget time and schedule work to efficiently complete tasks.
Adherence to strict safety and security procedures
Knowledge of and ability to operate and light equipment and landscaping equipment.
Ability to walk, bend, stoop, lift, carry; push, pull, and otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds regularly, understanding and utilizing proper body mechanics.

Work Environment

Outdoor airport grounds with continuous exposure to weather conditions
Work performed near active runways, taxiways, and aircraft operations
High noise levels requiring hearing protection
Operation of mowing equipment, tractors, and other grounds maintenance tools
Requires physical labor including walking, standing, lifting, and repetitive motion
Work schedule may include early mornings, variable hours, and occasional weekends
Interaction with airport operations staff and maintenance teams
