Are you passionate about creating memorable experiences for children, families and our community? Do you enjoy interacting with people and ensuring their visit is enjoyable, educational and FUN? We are looking to grow our Exhibit Experience Support team! Join our team at Children's Museum of Atlanta as an Exhibit Experience Support team member and play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences! This position reports to the Manager of Guest Experience and is a part time, non-exempt, hourly position. The schedule is varied with weekdays, at least 1 weekend day, events and holidays are required with an hourly rate of $15.50 per hour and will increase to $16.50 after completing the probation period at the Museum. This position is seasonal and will conclude in mid-August.


We are the Children’s Museum of Atlanta, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), and the only educational venue of its kind in Atlanta. Through community outreach initiatives, educational programs, and exhibits designed for children ages 0–8, the Museum strives to spark every child’s imagination, sense of discovery and learning through the power of play. Primary Role: To provide a clean, fun, engaging, safe and welcoming environment for all Museum guests and members in exhibit floor spaces.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Demonstrate how to play & engage in exhibits with museum guests
  • Responsible for opening and closing Museum floor at the start and end of each day
  • Make regular rounds of all exhibits & programming spaces to tidy up, sanitize, organize, and restage
  • Provide accurate information about the Museum and all its offerings
  • Participate in training and feedback provided by Gx Managers
  • Actively provide general assistance to guests within exhibits
  • Communicate with Day porter, GX Team Members, and/or supervisor regarding any cleanliness issues
  • Communicate to supervisors regarding any consumable, exhibit, and guest needs or issues
  • Troubleshoot exhibits
  • Attend and engage in team meetings

General:

  • Support Museum Mission and Values
  • Follow all Staff Expectations and Policies for role and Department
  • Present a positive and energetic demeanor
  • Properly and helpfully communicate Museum policies to Museum visitors
  • Assist with basic First Aid as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Coursework in Hospitality preferred
  • Work in housekeeping type field
  • Face-to-face customer service
  • Work with young children
