Role Overview:

As a Search Strategist, you will lead the development and execution of integrated SEO, Answer Engine Optimization, and Geolocation strategies focused on acquiring and engaging new patients and members. You will optimize content for traditional and emerging search platforms, including AI-powered environments, ensuring visibility and relevance across multiple channels. Collaborating closely with marketing and web teams, you will oversee technical SEO processes, content optimization, and data analyses, continuously evolving search practices to meet modern discovery behaviors. Your work will directly support the organization’s mission to improve community health through innovative digital visibility.

Day in the Life

  • Develop holistic SEO, AEO, and GEO strategies for multiple platforms.
  • Conduct technical audits and implement site improvements.
  • Optimize website content for search rankings and AI visibility.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on content and search best practices.
  • Analyze search performance and generate insights for continuous improvement.

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of search optimization experience, including SEO.
  • Proven project management skills, with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools like SEMrush, Moz, BrightEdge, Screaming Frog.
  • Knowledge of AI search environments, AEO, GEO, and structured data.
  • Familiar with content optimization for conversational and voice search.
  • Technical skills including schema markup, entity-based SEO, and knowledge graphs.
  • Data analysis and visualization expertise (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Self-starter, curious, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
