About the Role
A leading insurance client is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support a high-impact cybersecurity initiative—Project Ascend, focused on modernizing Identity & Access Management (IAM) to reduce enterprise risk and enhance operational capabilities.
You will work within the Global Cybersecurity organization, enabling Agile delivery across multiple teams while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
- Manage and support 2–3 Agile teams operating in Scrum/Kanban/Scrumban environments
- Partner with Product Owners and leadership to ensure backlog readiness and delivery alignment
- Identify, track, and remove impediments to ensure smooth team execution
- Drive continuous improvement using data, metrics, and team feedback
- Coach teams on Agile best practices and maturity
- Manage interdependencies across teams and stakeholders
- Ensure strong communication and collaboration across technical and business teams
- Use Jira extensively for tracking, reporting, and delivery insights
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Agile environments with strong Scrum Master expertise
- Proven experience managing multiple Agile teams simultaneously
- Expert-level experience with Jira (mandatory – no exceptions)
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Scrumban frameworks
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to proactively identify risks and drive resolution
- Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Cybersecurity, especially Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, etc.)
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivery metrics and team health
- Experience supporting enterprise-level transformation initiatives

- Immediate disqualifier: Lack of Scrum Master experience or Jira expertise
- Local candidates within 50 miles of Portsmouth, NH strongly preferred
- Remote candidates will be considered only if no local talent is identified
