We are seeking a Research Scientist to fill a Study Director role in our CNS focused contract research organization (CRO). We are seeking an expert on pre-clinical microdialysis that has a background in using microdialysis techniques in rodents. This position will work closely with the VP, Translational Neuroscience and the Associate Director of the EEG Group to lead studies that collect microdialysis samples following various experimental protocols including administration of novel test articles and genetic manipulations. Studies performed at PsychoGenics include single and dual probe experiments in mice and rats. Microdialysis techniques include standard microdialysis, push-pull microdialysis for large molecules, retro dialysis, and quantitative microdialysis. Studies investigate levels of neurotransmitters, novel compounds, and large molecules such as antibodies or a-synuclein. The ideal candidate will be an expert pre-clinical rodent microdialysis with a knowledge of basic sleep science. Being able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced work environment is a must as is working in collaboration with other scientists on the team. This position will also lead junior staff members.
