The School Psychology Intern will work with grades N-12 and is ideally suited for graduate students seeking internship opportunities.

School Psychologist Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling and instruction for students with social, emotional, and behavioral problems.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments for students with developmental disabilities.
  • Craft behavioral intervention plans for students in need of additional support.
  • Work closely with the Director of Student Support to assess barriers to learning and determine strategies to improve student learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, faculty, parents, and outside providers to address students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Promote an inclusive working and community environment.
  • Design and implement student progress monitoring systems.
  • Assist student support team with evaluating eligibility for special education services.
  • Implement school-wide prevention programs that help maintain positive school climates.


School Psychologist Requirements:

  • Working towards a graduate degree in School Psychology (Ed.S., MA/MS + Ed.S., or PhD)
  • Eligibility to practice independently within the scope of school psychology.
  • Experience working in schools.
  • Ability to work across cultures and school divisions.
