Elementary School Psychologist - Aurora IL


Position Details

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated and collaborative School Psychologist to support elementary students in Aurora, Illinois for the 2026-2027 school year.

This position will serve two elementary school campuses and provide a combination of psychoeducational evaluations, consultation, IEP participation, and student support services as part of a multidisciplinary special education team.


Location: Aurora IL - Split between 2 elementary schools

School Year: 2026-2027 August 12th 2026 - June 8th 2027

Schedule: 31.5 hours per week (.9 FTE)

Compensation

$55-$61+/hr based on experience (W-2)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
  • Interpret assessment data and prepare comprehensive written reports
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and eligibility determinations
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff regarding student needs
  • Assist in the development and implementation of behavioral and academic interventions
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
  • Collaborate with educational teams to promote student success and positive outcomes


Requirements

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • Illinois School Psychologist License/Endorsement required
  • Master's Degree, Specialist Degree (Ed.S.), or Doctorate in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Strong knowledge of special education procedures, psychoeducational assessment, and IEP processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
