The Social Work Practicum Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Practicum Education to support BSW and MSW student success in preparing for and completing their social work practicum. This position ensures that all practicum compliance requirements are met to maintain program accreditation and secure practicum placements. Responsible for providing training, guidance, and assistance during the practicum planning process to secure a practicum. The ideal candidate must be organized, student-centered, and knowledgeable about social work education and fields of practice.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train, guide, andassist social work students through the practicum planning
  • Monitor, communicate,and ensure student compliance with program and contract requirements.
  • Maintainstudent practicum database tracking all practicums and program and contract compliance.
  • Correspondwith students about practicum, such as the practicum planning process, compliance requirements, practicum confirmation, practicum orientation, etc.
  • Update andmaintain practicum education materials for practicum coursework and the practicum planning process.
  • Oversee the employment-based practicum application process.
  • Serve on the Continuing Education committee to plan annual socialwork CEU events.
  • Attend Clinical Placement Review Team meetings.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related area preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in social work, education, academic advising, or clinical compliance
