Job Summary:

Summary

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Program Assistant has core responsibility and accountability for administrative support of their assigned program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to non-clinical telephone triage and management, accurate and timely completion of statistics, data entry, project support of Director and Medical Staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
  • Appropriately & effectively communicates with referral office personnel, nurses, physicians, ancillary departments, and patients and family members.
  • Completes data entry accurately and timely.
  • Completes charge reconciliation.
  • Creates daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Performs duties related to the overall functioning of the assigned program.
  • Orders needed equipment for department.
  • Other duties as consistent with this role.

Rehab Unit

  • Completes daily compliance within EPIC to meet Rehabilitation Guidelines.
  • Posts financial, CMS %, Program Evaluation data, and various communications as directed.
  • Transmits patient data accurately and timely to CMS.
  • Acquire CMG (case mix group) and provide to billing department.
  • Analyzes and detects inconsistencies with IRF PAI data.

SBHU

  • Supports intake activities to include tracking and dissemination of incoming referrals, communication with referral contacts on status and management of referral disposition reports.
  • Supports physician payroll and CME/ETO tracking.
  • Provides support IDT, Unit Council, MOR.
  • Assists program leadership with scheduling payroll, and committee scheduling/minutes.

Job Knowledge and Skills

  • Medical terminology
  • Computer training
  • Use of Microsoft suite of programs

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma preferred

An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this position that involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. Some stress related to high level of responsibility for quality care.

Comp Range:

$20.52 - $28.26
