Job Description:

This position is for a Satellite Portfolio Financial Analyst in Chantilly, VA supporting cutting-edge and innovative space programs.  Be part of a highly effective and collaborative front office team responsible for delivering expectational support to senior level government staff.

This role supports the Government program office team conducting budget requests and analyzing Developer execution.  The position is integrated into the Govt-led Program Office team requiring full-time on-site work.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  
Role Responsibilities:

•   Analyze monthly financial reports, invoices, and earned value management (EVM) reports to identify and resolve discrepancies against trending data.
•  Coordinate with Program Managers and financial management teams to identify and resolve funding and invoicing discrepancies.
•  Conduct what-if analysis to project cost implications of potential changes to staffing, supplier delays, material cost growth, and technical scope changes.
•  Analyze Basis of Estimates (BOE) for proposals to validate cost accounting and compare against historical estimating techniques and values.
•  Track and report budget obligations and expenditures.
•  Track and report funds run-out dates across multiple contracts.
•  Proactively partner with Program Managers and Support Teams to address urgent gaps and resolve challenges that impact the Program.
•   Partner with the Government Military Leader and Program Managers to strategically and tactically guide nationally critical satellite programs through acquisition, engineering, and operational trades to achieve on-time launch and on-orbit performance.
