Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCIclearedSATCOM Engineer - Journeymantosupport this missionatPope Army Airfield, North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
As aSATCOM Engineer - Journeymanyouwill provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include:
- Possesses and appliesexpertisein providing direct technicalexpertiseand immediate mission-critical infrastructure capabilities on-site for C2ISR SATCOM systems.
- Independently performs comprehensive installations, integration, and activation of various SATCOM ground terminals, modems, waveforms, and associated network components in diverse mission environments.
- Conducts in-depth on-site troubleshooting for complex SATCOM link degradations, terminal malfunctions, and network integration issues,utilizingadvanced diagnostic tools (e.g., spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes) toidentifyroot causes.
- Provides rapid, globally deployable support for installations, pre-deployments, deployments, and crew change-out requests, leading specific SATCOM-related technical tasks.
- Performs dedicated touch labor for corrective maintenance,componentreplacement, and repair actions on SATCOM terminals and related ground segment equipment, often involving classified systems.
- Manages and sustains aspects of enterprise cross domains by ensuring SATCOM connectivity and data flow for ISR data dissemination hubs.
- Operates with appreciable latitude, implementing immediate technical solutions andoptimizingSATCOM system performance directly in the field.
- Utilize the followingTO Management & Financial Tracking Tools:Task Orderportal; Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate); G Invoicing API; ASSIST portal integration; variance analysis dashboards; MS Project; Primavera; GFP management modules; WBS tracking systems; ServiceNow; Jira Service Desk; automated RIP/CTP/TAR workflows; SharePoint libraries; Confluence; Microsoft Search; lessons learned databases; video library repositories;eMASS, Archer GRC; internal audit portals; Excel/SharePoint audit templates; CMDB with version control; Power BI with R/Python integration; Tableau; predictive analytics engines; Teams; Azure AD role based access; mobile access via Power Apps.
- Utilize the followingRole Specific Tools: Microsoft Word; Excel; SharePoint; Confluence; ServiceNow; Jira; basic RF diagnostic tools; cabling test equipment.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Previousexperience asaSATCOM Engineeror similar rolesupporting a DoD customer at the CCMDlevel;
- Minimum of5years’experiencewith a BS/BA or3years’ experience with a MS/MA or 1years’ experience witha PhD. or 9 years' w/o a degree or 7 years' with AS/AA degree
- A current, active DoD security clearanceat the TS/SCI level
- US citizenship isrequired
- DoD 8140 role for WRC: 441; Element: IT; Work Role: Network Operations Specialist; Proficiency Level: Intermediate
DesiredQualifications:
- DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.
Work Environment:
- Location: Pope Army Airfield, NC
- On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presencerequiredfor equipment management and asset tracking
- Travel: May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites forlogisticscoordination and facility assessments

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
