TITLE: SAP Configuration Leads MDM

LOCATION: Brooklyn, New York/ Melville, Long Island NY / Hialeah, Florida

TYPE: CONTRACT / FULL TIME / CONTRACT TO HIRE (ON-SITE—4 DAYS/WEEK)


Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementations, focusing on Master Data Management (MDM) configurations and best practices.

• Apply SAP Activate methodology across all project phases, including discovery, preparation, exploration, realization, deployment, and operations.

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs for master data governance.

• Configure SAP Master Data elements such as Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, Business Partner, and Financial Master Data.

• Ensure integration and data consistency across SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, EWM, etc.).

• Conduct workshops, user training, and change management initiatives for business stakeholders.

• Support unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP master data issues, providing post-go-live support and continuous improvements.

• Ensure adherence to data governance standards and policies while implementing master data solutions.

• Stay updated on the latest SAP S/4HANA functionalities and industry best practices.


Essential Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Data Management, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in SAP Master Data Management (MDM) implementation and support, with at least 2+ years in SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

• Hands-on experience with SAP Activate methodology and Agile project management.

• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data lifecycle management.

• Experience with SAP Fiori applications and embedded analytics is a plus.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Visionary SAP ERP Leader to direct and manage the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of SAP S/4 systems for our global discrete manufacturing client.


The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience across multiple SAP rollouts, implementing S/4 HANA modules relevant to manufacturing, supply chain, and finance, with a focus on driving operational efficiency, scalability, and innovation. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills to manage a global team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

SAP ERP Strategy & Leadership:

  • Define and execute the SAP ERP roadmap aligned with the company’s business goals and manufacturing objectives.
  • Lead the global SAP team, including functional and technical consultants, to ensure successful delivery of projects and support.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation.


Implementation & Optimization:

  • Oversee the implementation of SAP ERP modules (e.g., PP, MM, SD, WM, QM, FI/CO) for discrete manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure seamless integration of SAP with other enterprise systems (e.g., MES, PLM, CRM).
  • Continuously optimize SAP configurations to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance data accuracy.


Business Process Alignment:

  • Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Standardize and streamline global manufacturing processes using SAP best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.


Project Management:

  • Manage end-to-end SAP projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and milestones.


Support & Training:

  • Oversee the SAP support team to resolve issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure end-users are proficient in SAP systems.
  • Maintain system documentation and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.


Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage relationships with SAP vendors, consultants, and third-party service providers.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment and consistency in SAP processes and systems.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in SAP ERP implementation and management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in the discrete manufacturing sector, preferably in the high-tech industry.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP modules such as PP (Production Planning), MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), WM (Warehouse Management), QM (Quality Management), and FI/CO (Finance and Controlling).
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
  • Global project management experience, including working with cross-cultural teams.
