We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to develop, enhance, and support SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4HANA solutions across core business domains. This role emphasizes modern ABAP development (RAP, CDS, AMDP, OData) and SAP HANA optimization.
This role will play a critical role in our enterprise SAP modernization journey—supporting both ECC and S/4HANA environments while enabling a Clean Core, upgrade-safe future on SAP BTP. The position partners closely with functional, integration, and architecture teams and contributes to technical standards and strategic initiatives.
· Develop, enhance, and support SAP applications across SAP ECC 6.0 (EHP7) and SAP S/4HANA.
· Design and implement scalable, upgrade-safe ABAP solutions using ABAP Objects, RAP, CDS Views and annotations, AMDP, and OData V2/V4 services.
· Build and support solutions on SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA, leveraging SAP Fiori and SAPUI5, with a focus on performance, scalability, and enterprise architecture standards.
· Support ECC to S/4HANA conversions and upgrades, including SPAU/SPDD activities, ATC-driven custom code remediation, and post-conversion stabilization in dual-landscape environments.
· Design, implement, and support SAP integrations using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, SOAP services, and REST APIs.
· Develop and extend side-by-side and cloud-based applications on SAP BTP, using RAP- and CDS-based backend services aligned to SAP Clean Core principles.
· Optimize application performance on SAP HANA using code pushdown techniques, CDS-centric data models, and efficient Open SQL.
· Provide ongoing production support, enhancements, and defect resolution in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
· Define and enforce ABAP quality, testing, and performance standards using tools such as ABAP Unit, ATC/SCI, Code Inspector, SAT, ST05, SQL Monitor (SQLM), and ST12.
· Collaborate with functional, Basis, integration, and architecture teams on design reviews, effort estimates, and end-to-end solution delivery.
· Participate in code reviews, provide mentoring, and contribute to continuous modernization initiatives and technical standards.
8+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience in SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4HANA environments.
· Strong experience with ABAP on HANA, including performance tuning and database-centric development.
· Proven experience supporting SAP upgrades, migrations, and ECC to S/4HANA transition projects.
· Strong expertise in ABAP Objects, enhancements framework, BADIs, interfaces, and performance optimization.
· Hands-on experience with modern ABAP development using RAP, CDS, AMDP, and OData services.
· Experience supporting or developing solutions within logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or finance domains.
