Job Title: Sample Receiver

Job Description

Join our team as a Sample Receiver, where you will play a crucial role in the intake of various samples before they proceed to the laboratory. As the 'front of the house', you will handle samples of drinks, food, and air, ensuring they are properly logged and prepared for testing. Your role is vital in our mission to test food and drink samples before they reach consumers and to assess air quality for potential pollutants.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and intake samples of drinks, food, and air.
  • Place samples in appropriate testing bags.
  • Accurately document the product details and testing requirements.
  • Enter information into the computer system efficiently.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in roles requiring independence, problem-solving, and effective communication.
  • Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office.
  • Background in chemistry or laboratory work is advantageous.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality, such as waiter/waitress roles, or sports involvement can be beneficial.
  • Ability to remain focused and on task throughout an entire shift.
  • Comfortable learning and working in a laboratory environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.00/hr.
