At Regions, the Software Engineer oversees application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. This position monitors system applications, ensures systems run smoothly, and creates reports and other documentation outlining findings/solutions. This position sits within Regions' Technology department.

Salesforce Development & Architecture5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, with a proven track record architecting and delivering enterprise‑grade solutions.
Expert-level proficiency in Apex, including ability to design multi-layered service architectures, enforce coding standards, and drive platform-wide best practices.
Demonstrated experience designing scalable, resilient, and maintainable application architectures across multiple Salesforce clouds and integrations.
Leads technical decision-making for Apex Classes, Triggers, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, Schedulers, and multi-object transaction patterns.
Defines and enforces Apex engineering best practices, including:
Platform‑scale bulkification strategies
Consistent exception and error propagation models
Reusable service frameworks and domain layer patterns
High test coverage through robust, data-driven unit tests and enterprise test suites
Optimization strategies for governor limits and performance tuning
Expert in SOQL/SOSL optimization, asynchronous transaction patterns, and Salesforce integration architectures.
Designs large-scale integrations using REST, SOAP, event-driven patterns, middleware orchestration, and scalable error-handling strategies.
Leads integration reviews and ensures architectural compliance, API governance, and observability standards.
4+ years of hands-on OmniStudio experience delivering scalable enterprise solutions.
Designs OmniStudio solution architectures, patterns, and reusable frameworks across:
FlexCards (componentization, data orchestration, caching strategies)
OmniScripts (complex guided workflows, orchestration, branching logic)
DataRaptors (performance-optimized transformations & mapping strategies)
Integration Procedures (high-performance server-side orchestration & API callouts)
Establishes OmniStudio configuration standards, governance guidelines, and cross-team best practices.
Provides design reviews, reusable patterns, and guidance to engineering teams adopting OmniStudio.
Deep experience with CI/CD pipelines, branching strategy, automated deployments, static code analysis, version control, environment strategy, deployment automation, and maintaining multi‑org / multi‑team codebases.
Partners with DevOps teams to build scalable, secure, and repeatable release processes.
Serves as a technical leader and primary architect on complex, cross-team projects.
Mentors junior and mid-level engineers on Apex design patterns, integration strategies, performance tuning, and platform limitations.
Conducts technical design reviews, code reviews, and enforces engineering quality standards across teams.
Influences platform direction, architecture roadmap, and long-term technical strategy.
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week.The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations.Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. This position must bewithin a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with the primary locations being for Birmingham, AL or Atlanta, GA. Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
