A international industrial parts and equipment distribution company is actively seeking a bilingual Japanese-English speaking Sales Representative to join their Sales & Business Development team in the Elk Grove Village, IL area.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual who has experience in account management and business development.

*This is a full-time, direct hire position with comprehensive benefits package.


Responsibilities of Sales Representative (Japanese language):

  • Develop new customers and establish good business relationships
  • Analyze the current market and establish new sales strategies - forecasting, market trend direction etc.
  • Visit customer sites and end-users’ sites to respond to their needs and address their issues, including process and technical difficulties
  • Seek any opportunities to lead to new projects and provide insights to development
  • Manage budget for the sales department and prepare projections
  • Manage and handle customer complaints with other departments and perform root cause analysis
  • Negotiate cost, timeline, technical specification etc., and provide consultation as needed
  • Support projects to ensure timelines are met, customer satisfaction and quality standards
  • Participate in internal sales meetings to communicate thoroughly with other locations internationally as arranged
  • Create sales reports by using MS Excel and the company's system and report to upper management periodically
  • Perform all other duties as assigned


Qualifications of Sales Representative (Japanese language):

  • Prefer at least 2 years of experience in account management and business development in electronics or manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or related field
  • Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English (including reading/writing)
  • Strong leadership skills in a team environment and skills to bring positive atmosphere to the team
  • Ability to be flexible to work effectively with a wide variety of people and to work responsibly and effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent communication (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening) and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and perform duties time efficiently
  • Team-worker, Detail-oriented, Responsible, Punctual, Self-motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to travel up to 50%
  • Valid driver license

This position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 20 pounds, lift in excess of 20 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
