Position Summary

The Sales Insights & Reporting Specialist is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sales data across multiple systems to provide actionable insights that drive revenue growth and strategic decision-making. This individual will manage the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards in Salesforce, the ERP system (EPMS), and other CRM or data tools. They will identify trends, monitor key metrics, and present clear summaries and recommendations to leadership.


The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency with business acumen—someone who is data-driven, detail-oriented, and excited about leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency and forecasting accuracy across the sales organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build, automate, and maintain sales reports and dashboards across Salesforce, ERP (EPMS), and other systems.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics, customer trends, and pipeline activity to provide actionable insights to sales leadership.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership and other Sales Operations departments to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Summarize findings in clear, visually engaging presentations and written reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Create ad hoc analyses to explore emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges within the sales organization.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations to improve data integration and streamline reporting processes.
  • Proactively identify areas where automation, AI tools, or predictive analytics can improve reporting, forecasting, or sales performance.
  • Support the development and rollout of sales enablement initiatives, reporting enhancements, and performance dashboards.
  • Maintain documentation of reporting processes and data definitions for transparency and training.
  • Other duties as assigned

Goals and Objectives

  • Deliver accurate, timely, and actionable sales reports and dashboards to empower leadership decision-making.
  • Maintain and improve data integrity across sales and operational systems (ERP – EPMS, Salesforce, dashboards, and ad hoc reports).
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the sales pipeline and customer base.
  • Support the sales organization’s digital transformation by introducing automation and AI-driven insights.
  • Improve Sales team efficiency by providing them with reliable data and visualizations for meetings, reviews, and strategy sessions.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–5 years of experience in sales analytics, reporting, or operations.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce reporting and dashboards; experience with ERP/CRM systems preferred.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for identifying patterns and insights in data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—able to summarize complex findings for non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Interest in or experience with AI tools, workflow automation (e.g., Zapier, Make, Power Automate), or predictive analytics preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, one is frequently required to sit a desk and work on computer desktops. Additionally, one is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time. The Sales Assistant is regularly required to walk, stoop, and bend over and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, one is regularly exposed to noise typical of an office environment such as printers, computers, and phones operating.
