MajorDuties

  • Advises customers and explains the maintenance their vehicle may require, gives price estimates and schedules work for mechanics. Receives and routes incoming calls and provides information to the public. Represents program to patrons, providing information about programs, events, services, prices, and policies. Assists and serves customers with information about the activity, selection and purchase of merchandise, and submits all customer requested special parts orders. Performs cashier duties by selling over-the-counter variety of automotive parts and related items and/or merchandise. Operates points of sale system to accept sales and charges related to shop fees. Completes related cash control forms at end of each shift. Prepares and submits related daily financial reports and makes nightly deposits. Provides general office support functions to include preparing general correspondence. Contacts local vendor representative to obtain information (price quotes, estimates, clarifications on specifications) on items to be purchased. Assists with conducting periodic inventories. Makes supply and automotive parts purchases. Perform facility clean up duties. Issue customer checkout items and receives returned items and check for damage(s). Performs duties as shop timekeeper ensuring all time is entered into SETS to support payroll function. Maintains Purchase Card records, including daily reconciliations and monthly reports. May operate GOV and customer POVs. Performs other duties as assigned. Position is a position of trust.
