Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Crossville, TN, for a Sailing Instructor. The Sailing Instructor will be responsible for teaching campers sailing techniques, safety procedures, and basic yachting skills. Additional responsibilities include supervising on-the-water activities, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to, maintaining and preparing sailing equipment, and fostering a positive and encouraging environment for students. The instructor will also assist in training campers in proper sailing and boating practices while encouraging teamwork and confidence among participants.

Qualifications
  • Proficient in Sailing and Yachting, with hands-on experience in operating and managing sailboats
  • Skills in Sailing Instruction and Training, including the ability to teach and mentor campers with varying levels of experience
  • Strong Communication skills to effectively communicate techniques, feedback, and safety instructions
  • Ability to foster teamwork, confidence, and a safe learning environment
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
  • Previous teaching or camp counselor experience is preferred but not required
  • Patient, energetic, and passionate about mentoring youth in an outdoor and active setting
