Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Safety Manager role based in Reno, NV. The Safety Manager will develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies across manufacturing and installation operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company standards. This role includes conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards, and recommending corrective actions. The Safety Manager will lead safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and onboarding safety orientations for team members and subcontractors. They will investigate accidents and near-misses, prepare reports, track corrective measures, and monitor safety performance metrics. The Safety Manager will collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to integrate safety into daily workflows and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety, with experience applying safety best practices in manufacturing, construction, or data center environments.
- Proficiency in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) program development, including regulatory compliance, policy implementation, and safety documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver Safety Training, including developing training materials and leading group sessions for diverse teams.
- Experience in Accident Investigation, including root-cause analysis, incident reporting, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and coach team members at all levels.
- Ability to work on-site in Reno, NV, and visit shop floors, construction areas, and client locations as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Professional safety credentials (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST) are preferred but not required.
