Job Title: Safety Manager
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Technician to oversee and perform safety orientations, conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), lead safety meetings, and manage safety protocols for both internal teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety orientations and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for team members.
  • Lead and facilitate regular safety meetings.
  • Oversee safety protocols for both internal staff and subcontractors.
  • Implement and manage construction safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Conduct safety training sessions to enhance workplace safety.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in solar and construction safety management.
  • Proficiency in OSHA regulations including OSHA 30, OSHA 500, and OSHA 510.
  • Strong background in health and safety management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety or a related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction safety and completion of the OSHA 500 Training Course.
  • Certified Healthcare Safety Technician (CHST) designation with at least four years in a construction safety role.

Work Environment

Work at an outdoor solar project in Virginia, typically 5-6 shifts per week, totaling 40-50 hours. The day begins at 7 AM with a safety talk, followed by three breaks throughout the day. Expect to wear outdoor work clothing. Mileage is compensated for work-related tasks, and use of a company truck or personal vehicle is supported with mileage compensation. A per diem of $3,000 is offered monthly.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
