Job Summary: The CMS SHE Training Facilitator will play a crucial role in promoting a safe work environment by coordinating and delivering comprehensive safety training programs. This position involves facilitating various safety training sessions, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, and maintaining accurate training records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety protocols and a passion for educating others on best safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate monthly safety meetings to review and discuss safety practices, incidents, and improvements.
  • Conduct safety training for new hires, including orientation and ongoing refresher courses.
  • Deliver specialized safety training sessions including but not limited to aerial lift, fire extinguisher, harness and fall protection, hot work, confined space, safe work permit, CPR/AED/BBP, and respirator fit testing.
  • Where relevant, coordinate and facilitate Safe Delivery Training, including tracking and record maintenance to ensure compliance and accountability.
  • Maintain detailed records of all training sessions, including attendance, completion, and certification records.
  • Collaborate with LMS / Learning Analyst to develop safety metrics for completion, effectiveness, and satisfaction of training delivery. Adjust as needed.
  • Contribute to development and updating training materials to reflect current safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with safety managers and other departments to identify training needs and improve safety programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Stay current with OSHA regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of safety programs.
  • Evaluate current outsource training with 3rd party vendors. Work to evaluate, consolidate, and optimize efficiency of our training offer.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience also considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety training, preferably within a defense contractor or similar industrial environment.
  • Relevant safety certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST).
  • Certifications in specific training areas, such as OSHA 10/30-Hour Outreach Trainer, CPR/AED/BBP Instructor, and Confined Space Entry Trainer.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety training software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Work Environment:
  • Occasional travel will be required to travel up to 50% of the time as needed to different sites.
  • This position may involve exposure to various industrial environments, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to conduct training sessions in both classroom and field settings.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during training sessions.
  • Capability to lift and carry training materials and equipment.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75254 - $127930

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
