Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Our client, a respected manufacturing organization, is seeking a detail‑oriented Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support safety initiatives at their Milwaukee facility. This role assists in implementing safety programs, monitoring hazards, maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting training efforts.
Position Summary
The EHS Coordinator helps promote a safe and compliant work environment by supporting the development and execution of safety policies, hazard assessments, and training programs. Working closely with the EHS Manager and site leadership, this role helps reduce risk, ensures OSHA‑aligned documentation is up to date, and contributes to a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor known safety, health, and environmental hazards in the facility, including noise, air quality, and wastewater levels, and support implementation of risk‑reducing policies.
• Assist leadership in identifying and preventing accidents and incidents; compile and communicate corrective and preventive action details.
• Maintain chemical change procedures and ensure safety data sheets remain accurate and accessible.
• Support development and delivery of safety and environmental training; maintain training records, manuals, and incident/accident documentation per compliance standards.
• Help train designated employees to support incident investigations and reporting.
• Encourage proper and consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist in preparing and communicating emergency response and evacuation plans specific to the site.
• Maintain departmental documentation, procedures, and SharePoint content, including OSHA‑required health monitoring and hazard‑exposure records.
• Support all workplace safety and food safety expectations and company policies.

Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field (required).
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Certifications:
• OHST, GSP, or ASP.
Additional Requirements:
• Experience working with OSHA, DNR, and EPA regulations.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.
