Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to join our team at a Prefab facility in Brandywine, MD. The ideal candidate will facilitate a work environment that promotes a safe and healthy culture, helping to create and maintain a behavior-driven safety program.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture.
• Monitor, correct, and educate the workforce on workplace health and safety issues.
• Conduct worker training on safety laws, hazardous conditions, equipment use, material handling, and PPE.
• Conduct and coordinate housekeeping inspections and safety audits with a focus on hazard recognition, unsafe behaviors, and OSHA compliance.
• Document and communicate inspection results to site supervision and recommend solutions to hazardous conditions.
• Coordinate and control the development and review of task hazard analysis (THA) and job hazard analysis (JHA) for each assigned project.
• Identify safety needs and facilitate the necessary training as required.
• Provide technical, training, and administrative support on site-specific safety, health, and environmental issues.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations as they relate to company operations.
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, occupational injuries, and property damage claims, and prepare all pertinent forms and reports.

• Experience in safety management, especially within a construction or prefab environment.
• Certification in OSHA 30 and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Strong understanding of environmental health and site safety.
• Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures.
• Proficiency in documenting accidents and incidents.
• Solid computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Occupational safety/health degree or equivalent technical training and construction-related safety experience.
• Certifications such as OSHA 510 or 511, and First Aid/CPR.
• Ability to work extended and irregular hours.

This position requires 100% on-site presence at the prefab shop in Brandywine, MD. The role includes working with various safety equipment and technologies to ensure compliance with safety standards. The company provides 100% coverage for medical, dental, and vision benefits, along with a 50% 401k match.

This is a Permanent position based out of Brandywine, MD.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
