Key Responsibilities
- Prepare all cylinders for outgoing shipment and prepare the BOL (bill of lading)
- Maintain an adequate supply of materials needed by tracking current inventory & communicating with lead/supervisor timely to allow sufficient time to replenish depleted items
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics, customer service, third-party carriers, and others involved in the shipment of products.
- Use internal software (Cyltrak) to identify outgoing shipments, verify shipment information & update shipment status
- Work in accordance with all company policies relating to health & safety
Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications
- Must be able to safely operate a forklift
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or working with LTL carriers is strongly preferred
- Ability to multitask & be flexible to changing priorities
- Basic computer skills in programs such as MS Word, Excel, etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail & ability to closely follow written instructions
- Ability to pass 608 Universal Certification within 90 days of hire
