HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Norco, LA is looking for a Class A Roll-Off Driver to join their safety conscious team at a customer site! The Class A Roll Off Driver is responsible for the transportation of hazardous waste from a generator/facility to a company facility and/or an outside disposal facility in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT), hazardous waste (HAZMAT) and Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations.

Work Schedule: 

  • 7 Days rotating schedule - Days/Nights

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the transportation of hazardous waste (tank, van, and/or roll-off dump trailer) from a generator/facility to a company facility and/or an outside disposal facility adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) and hazardous waste (HAZMAT) regulations; communicate regularly with Coordinators regarding daily times and demurrage.
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste (i.e., drums are properly segregated and loaded, etc.); Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of Company equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining daily logs, worksheets, timecard, expense reports, dispatch & trip reports and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Maintain and clean assigned Company equipment as well as ensure equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs; 
  • Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations; 
  • Valid driver’s license, CDL Class A and other requirements of company’s driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business; 
  • Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers. 
  • 1+ year(s) of experience driving a roll-off vehicle.
