Job Title: Roll Mill Operator

Job Description

As a Roll Mill Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process by preparing and mixing materials according to precise specifications. You will ensure the proper operation of mixing equipment and adhere to all safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Review production orders to determine material requirements, batch quantities, and specifications.
• Prepare and stage raw materials in the correct sequence for efficient mixing.
• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients, ensuring scales are zeroed between measurements.
• Enter ingredient data into the system and verify measurements meet required tolerances.
• Operate tilt body mixer and set appropriate temperatures (typically 170–180°F).
• Monitor and control the mixing process using gauges, probes, and temperature checks.
• Clean and maintain rotors and mixing equipment using approved procedures.
• Perform thorough cleaning of the mixing area to prevent contamination.
• Follow detailed mixing instructions and production processes step by step.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of chemical operator/extruder operator experience.
• 2+ years of batch mixing or compounding experience.
• Previous experience working off work instructions/batch tickets.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and fractions.
• Comfortable working with chemicals and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Experience with production, blueprint reading, and troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift operation skills.
• Proficiency in chemical mixing and blending.
• Ability to work comfortably in a heavy industrial environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a heavy industrial chemical manufacturing facility with a lot of dust. You must be comfortable working in a chemical-type facility and wearing a respirator for certain tasks. The role offers multiple shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, and 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Euclid, OH.

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $43680.00/yr.
