About the Role
Fireloop builds simulation and benchmarking infrastructure for robotics teams focused on sim-to-real transfer. Our platform spans the full NVIDIA ecosystem — Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, Cosmos, Omniverse Replicator — covering robot onboarding, digital twin creation, synthetic data multiplication, teleoperation, VLA policy training, and adversarial stress testing.
As a Robotics Teleoperator, you will be a critical part of our data collection pipeline, operating robotic systems to generate the high-quality demonstration data that feeds downstream policy training and model evaluation. The demonstrations you capture directly determine the quality of the policies our clients deploy on real hardware. This is hands-on, foundational work at the intersection of simulation infrastructure and physical AI.
What You’ll Do
• Data Collection & Testing. Perform hands-on data collection tasks including object manipulation, navigating pre-determined routes, and following structured testing guidelines and protocols.
• Equipment Operation. Start and stop recording devices, perform minor equipment and software debugging, and ensure all systems are functioning correctly during collection sessions.
• Performance Feedback. Provide detailed, actionable feedback on equipment performance, flagging anomalies, failure modes, and areas for improvement to the engineering team.
• Documentation & Reporting. Upload collected data at the end of each session and write daily reports detailing observations, issues encountered, and recommendations.
• Equipment Maintenance. Maintain all robotic equipment in safe working condition and consistently prioritize safety protocols across all operations.
• (Nice to have) Analyze and report on data collected during shift, identifying patterns, quality issues, or insights that accelerate downstream training workflows.
What We’re Looking For
• Comfort working hands-on with robotic systems, mechanical equipment, or hardware prototypes in a lab or industrial setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured test protocols consistently across repeated trials.
• Basic familiarity with software tools — ability to troubleshoot minor software issues, navigate file systems, and operate recording/logging applications.
• Clear written communication skills for daily reporting and issue documentation.
• A safety-first mindset with experience (or willingness to be trained) in equipment handling and lab safety procedures.
• Self-motivated and reliable — able to work independently through repetitive tasks while maintaining data quality.
Bonus Points
• Prior experience in teleoperation, robotics data collection, or QA/testing for hardware or AI systems.
• Experience with data annotation, labeling tools, or dataset quality assurance — particularly in LeRobot/HuggingFace formats.
• Background in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field as a technical operator.
Why Fireloop
Simulation and benchmarking infrastructure is the rate-limiting bottleneck explicitly identified in foundation model papers — and Fireloop sits underneath both the vertical robotics companies and horizontal foundation model platforms to solve it. You’ll work directly with the NVIDIA simulation stack (Isaac Sim, Cosmos, Omniverse Replicator) and contribute to the data pipelines that our clients — robotics OEMs, perception teams at automakers, research labs, and defense primes — depend on to get from sim to real.
This is a high-impact role for someone who wants hands-on involvement with cutting-edge robotics hardware and AI systems. Your demonstration data directly feeds the policies that ship on real robots.
