Job Details

We are seeking a Senior Robotics Service Technician to lead the build, debug, and commissioning of complex robotic automation systems. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, meet customer specifications, and perform at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the build and debug process to ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery
  • Attend project kickoff meetings, documenting key details from engineering to support execution
  • Manage all testing and run-off documentation, including:

o Customer specifications
o Cycle time charts
o Quoted hours breakdown
o Mechanical and electrical drawing packages
  • Participate in weekly project status meetings, presenting updates and communicating issues related to engineering, resources, and timelines
  • Track and report remaining work and labor hours, providing accurate updates during status meetings
  • Communicate daily with project managers on project progress and challenges
  • Review material shortages with expediting teams to ensure alignment with project schedules
  • Lead and manage assembly personnel, driving efficiency during build and debug phases
  • Forecast manpower needs and maintain a clear plan for remaining work
  • Ensure all assembly work aligns with customer specifications and best practices

Technical Qualifications
  • Ability to start up robotic systems from scratch, including setup, calibration, I/O programming, and communications
  • Strong experience with robot programming architecture, including master jobs and motion programming
  • Ability to verify robot-to-PLC communication and handshaking, as well as operate standalone robotic systems
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering and Applications teams on new system designs and quoting
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints
  • Hands-on experience with automated systems troubleshooting (electrical & mechanical)
  • Experience with robotic offline simulation programming
  • Experience with vision system integration, including troubleshooting and programming

Education & Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in robotics and/or PLC integration within manufacturing environments
  • Background in mechanical and electrical assembly
  • 2- or 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Development (preferred)
  • Experience with CAD and SolidWorks (preferred)
