Robotics Engineering is seeking an Entry-Level / Semi-Skilled Engineer to join our team.
The Robotics Engineering Group provides continued support to ongoing automation and robotic shipyard operations as well as addresses emerging construction and business needs. This organization focuses on developing robotic systems and applications to support production. The group is responsible for implementation, hardware / software selection, system / process expertise, and construction support. Group members serve as subject matter experts on robotics and automation and are a resource for identifying and exploiting robotics opportunities at Electric Boat. Robotic Engineering drives projects and new technology insertion, ensures requirements are met, develops procedures, procures machines, performs / tests capabilities, and implements robotic and automated systems.

This position will offer a unique blend of opportunities and exposure to shipbuilding at EB. The position will require someone that is highly flexible who can transition from hands on robotic construction support to lab development and from strategic thinking to technical work. Training and mentorship will be provided. Opportunities to flex worksites and WFH can be provided based on shipyard needs, work assignments and management discretion.Regular training and travel opportunities will be available as part of this organization.
