Position Overview
Seeking a senior Software Engineer to join an IT Administrative Applications Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team. The candidate will design, develop, and maintain automation and document intelligence solutions that transform large, complex data sources. Responsibilities include solution design, automation development, document ingestion and analysis, search enablement, infrastructure support, and cross-team collaboration. This role focuses on robotics and document processing technologies including Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate, Azure, and PDF/document processing frameworks. Work occurs in a fast-paced Agile (Kanban/Scrum) environment. Local Austin-area candidates only — within 50-mile radius, must already reside in Texas.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop RPA solutions including attended and unattended bots interacting with websites. Develop and maintain document intelligence solutions that convert large multi-hundred-page PDFs and data packages into structured, navigable, and actionable intake artifacts. Integrate RPA solutions with APIs, RESTful web services, and SQL databases. Develop reports and analytics based on structured and unstructured data. Support Azure infrastructure and troubleshoot related issues. Build Power Automate solutions including Desktop and Cloud Flows. Collaborate across teams on solution design and continuous improvement. Develop, test, and support solutions that automate business processes. Investigate problem areas and prepare system specifications, standards, and programming solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
8 years required — RPA development, with at least
4 years specifically using Blue Prism (attended and unattended bots, web interactions)
8 years required — RPA integration with APIs and databases including RESTful web services and SQL
8 years required — Developing reports and/or documents based on structured/unstructured data 8 years required — Building analytics based on structured/unstructured data
4 years preferred — Azure infrastructure including troubleshooting
4 years preferred — Power Automate development (Desktop and Cloud Flows)
4 years preferred — Java programming language
4 years preferred — Power BI and SQL
4 years preferred — Azure AI/Cognitive Search
1 year preferred — Blue Prism Certification
1 year preferred — Microsoft Power Platform Developer Certification
Contract Details
Start: June 1, 2026 End: August 31, 2026 Total Hours: Not to exceed 688 hours Renewal Options: Up to three one-year optional renewals at client discretion Interview: Microsoft Teams
Work Location and Schedule
Hybrid — 2 days onsite (Thursday and Friday, subject to change), 3 days remote Austin, TX 78751 Local candidates only — must reside within 50-mile radius of Austin; out-of-state candidates will not be considered Standard hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (excluding state holidays) Overtime may be required with pre-approval; all travel and living expenses are the candidate's responsibility
