Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospital campuses, 31 outpatient centers, clinics, emergency rooms, urgent care sites, along with our 17,000 employees, more than 3,000 affiliated physicians and 2,000 volunteers.
This is a full time, benefited, exempt RN Supervisor role. The hours are 9a-5p Monday- Friday with no scheduled weekends or holiday hours.
This position is eligible for the Supervisor incentive compensation plan.

As a Supervisor of the PSE you will have the following responsibilities:
� Assign/direct work of centralized pre-procedure service department for patient care sites, including surgical services at hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers and procedural areas such as cath lab, interventional radiology, and endoscopy. � Coach staff and provide functional expertise essential to support operations of the department. Ensure policy and procedures are followed by staff. Participate in and oversee daily productivity and create staffing schedules. � Participates in the development and monitoring of standardized workflows and KPIs to improve patient readiness, reduce same-day cancellations and optimization of technology. � Creates and maintains an environment that assures clinical care reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. � Ensures timely and effective patient outreach, education, and assessment, prioritizing care based on patient risk. � Responsible for hiring, training, conducting performance evaluations, and discipline of employees. � Facilitate teamwork and good interdepartmental relationships and collaborate with patient care sites to meet the needs of patients and other care providers. � Helps to develop and implement performance improvement initiatives.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Two years applicable clinical experience, one of which in a leadership role or capacity. Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through. Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
Required Certification/Registration: Current California RN license.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: BSN and/or certification in area of specialty preferred, if applicable. Experience with Epic EHR system and MyChart optimization
Two years PSE, pre op, post op or intraoperative experience is strongly preferred
