Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista provides a variety of medical and surgical services, including inpatient and outpatient care. Within the hospital you’ll find our 24-hour emergency room and many other specialty services ranging from cancer care to stroke care.
This is a Full time salary role as a RN Supervisor of DOU/Stepdown on the 4th floor at Mercy Chula Vista. It is night shift with a start time of 1900. This role will have 20-30 direct reports and consists of a combination of administrative and clinical duties. Call is required one weekend per month.

Ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans. Ensures appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology and adherence to care processes for bed placement/patient transfer/patient transport/room cleaning and patient discharge. Ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.
