About the RoleBaylor Scott & White Health – Temple is seeking a Full-Time Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to join a highly engaged and collaborative IR team. This role offers a strong work/life balance, diverse procedural exposure, and the opportunity to grow in an ever‑evolving procedural environment.
Schedule & Position Details- Status: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
- Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Call Requirement:
- Two weekdays per month
- 3–4 weekends per year
Department OverviewThe Interventional Radiology Department includes:
- 5 fluoroscopy suites
- 2 CT procedure rooms
- 2 ultrasound procedure rooms
- Dedicated Pre‑Op and Post‑Op areas
- Vascular Access Team
This is a fast-paced, high-acuity procedural environment with a wide variety of cases and continuously evolving procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care for Interventional Radiology procedures
- Support patients throughout the procedural experience, including pre- and post-procedure care
- Assist physicians during IR cases and procedures
- Collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and nursing team members
- Promote efficient workflow, patient safety, and high-quality outcomes

Required Qualifications- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital
- Strong teamwork mindset and willingness to help get the work done
- Dependable, punctual, and adaptable in a procedural setting

Job Summary
As an Interventional Radiology RN, use nursing expertise to deliver patient care with the healthcare team. Tasks include evaluating health, identifying issues, creating care plans, and tracking treatment responses. Help patients navigate their healthcare safely. Use knowledge of needs to prevent issues.

- Prioritizing patient and family needs is crucial. Responsibilities involve developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans. Adjust as needed.

- This includes maintaining confidentiality and voicing patient concerns when necessary.

- A basic understanding of the patient care practices, medical terminology, medications, and equipment used in interventional radiology nursing.

- The ability to track changes in patients' health and communicate clearly with nurses and doctors.
- Basic computer skills, particularly knowledge of electronic medical documentation systems and email.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited Program or (2) years of work experience above the minimum qualification
- The applicant's major field of study should be Nursing.
- Candidates must be Registered Nurses(RN).
- A (BLS) Basic Life Support certification is required or must obtain within (30) thirty days of hire
