According to departmental guidelines, maintains patient record and all department logs (written and/or electronically). Tracks missing data and initiates efforts to get necessary components, i.e., dictations, signatures, etc., to assure accurate, current and retrievable data. Tracks and follows up on all specialty billing (BWC, trauma). Maintains productivity and efficiency in a self-directed way. (15%) Competency 3

QualificationsEducation
High School Equivalent / GED (Required) and
Associate's Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience
Medical Terminology experience (Required) and
Coding and billing experience. (Preferred) and
2+ years experience working in a hospital environment, medical records, coding or billing experience. (Required) and
Experience with Microsoft Office Excel (Required) and
PC experience (word, e-mail, excel) (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Anatomy and Physiology (Preferred proficiency)
Complete all JC and HIPAA classes; (Required proficiency)
Successful completion of orientation to department (Required proficiency)
