About the Role

As a Store Department Manager - Operations and Facilities at Ariat's Nashville, TN location, you are responsible for managing the store's cash handling, systems, processes, procedures, and paperwork, and overseeing the cashiers. This position will also be responsible for ensuring facility maintenance PMs are conducted, and office and store supplies are inventoried and ordered regularly. The role will oversee Ariat's off-site warehouse and ensure inventory levels are maintained. The Store Department Manager will also monitor daily reports for store inventory replenishment. This role will maintain a pulse on the store environment, open and close the store, and manage day-to-day operations alongside the General Manager and the Sales and Service Department Manager.


About You

  • 2+ years of previous retail management experience, preferably in a soft goods apparel environment, managing the "back of house" and off-site warehouse and its employees, as well as running daily shifts in the store
  • Able to lead in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Experience with retail POS/inventory control systems
  • Ability to maintain and lead a positive team morale


Physical Requirements/Working Conditions (Time spent standing, sitting, bending, lifting):

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear
  • Frequently required to use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Vision requirements: close vision, distant vision, as well as ability to adjust and focus
  • Strong ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure while meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 32-40 hours per week full-time, including early mornings, evenings/nights, weekends, and/or holidays as requested
  • May be required to attend outside events, seminars, etc. as needed
  • Proficient knowledge in PC applications
  • High School graduate or equivalent; college degree preferred
  • Demonstrated Leadership and Organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service, sales and clienteling skills


The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations.
