Role Summary

As the Retail Store Manager at KUIU, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our flagship retail store. Your primary focus will be to drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and ensure the store operates smoothly. You will lead a high-performing team, foster a culture of accountability and growth, and play a key role in delivering store-level results.

Roles & Responsibilities

KUIU seeks an experienced retail professional with experience. Reporting to the Director of Store Operations, this role will:

 

Leadership & Team Development

·      Lead, recruit, train and develop a high-performing team of assistant manager, lead and sales associates

Provide structured coaching, performance management, and succession planning to drive team effectiveness and engagement Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer obsession

Customer Experience Management

·      Deliver a premium, consultative in-store experience that reflects KUIU’s technical expertise and brand values Proactively resolve escalated customer concerns and implement improvements to enhance the overall shopping experience.

 

Visual Merchandising & Operational Excellence

·      Own store layout, visual merchandising, and product placement to maximize sales and ensure alignment with brand standards Maintain a visually compelling, organized store environment aligned with company standards

·      Manage inventory control processes, including product assortment monitoring, cycle counts and stock replenishment

·      Partner with cross-functional team to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize shrinkage

·      Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance with company policies and regulations.

 

Store Performance

·      Drive store sales performance by executing company initiativesand collaborating with marketing and e-commerce teams.

·      Identify opportunities to increase foot traffic, conversation rates and average transaction value

Use sales data and KPIs to inform decision-making and improve performanceProvide clear reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership

Market Insight & Strategic Planning

·      Monitor local market trends, events, competitor activity, and customer behavior, sharing insights with senior leadership Develop and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement, innovation and business growth.


Professional Qualifications 

·      Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar leadership role within a performance-driven retail environment Strong knowledge of retail operations, sales strategy, and customer experience principlesExcellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

·      Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers, employees, and corporate office partners.

·      Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving business growth.

·      Ability to adapt and lead through change as the business and systems evolve Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail software applications, i.e. Shopify, NetSuite

·      Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business requires.
