PRG Golf is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Retail & OEM Sales Manager to lead the growth and development of the company’s retail and OEM/private label business. This role will oversee relationships with major big box retailers, national sporting goods chains, and key retail partners, while also expanding PRG’s OEM partnerships with leading golf brands and lifestyle companies.
The Retail & OEM Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue through retail distribution, managing key accounts, and developing private label and branded merchandise programs tailored for large-scale retail environments. This role will collaborate closely with internal teams—including product development, creative, marketing, and operations—to deliver innovative, high-quality golf accessories and merchandise that meet both retailer and brand partner requirements.
This position is ideal for a sales professional with experience working with large retail accounts, product merchandising, and brand partnerships within the golf, sporting goods, or lifestyle industries.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Sales & Big Box Account Management
• Develop and manage relationships with major big box retailers, national sporting goods chains, and golf specialty retailers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key retail partners, ensuring strong communication and account support.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand PRG’s presence within retail channels.
• Manage retailer onboarding, line reviews, assortment planning, and seasonal product launches.
• Lead regular business reviews with retail partners to drive growth and maximize sell-through.
• Collaborate with retailers on merchandising strategies, in-store programs, and promotional initiatives.
OEM & Private Label Business Development
• Identify and secure new OEM and private label partnerships with golf equipment manufacturers, brands, and lifestyle companies.
• Build strategic relationships with product, merchandising, and sourcing teams within partner organizations.
• Develop custom accessory programs tailored to partner brand requirements and retail distribution.
• Expand PRG’s OEM footprint within the golf and sporting goods industries.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of OEM opportunities and new partnerships.
Product & Merchandising Collaboration
• Work closely with PRG’s product development and creative teams to develop retail-ready product assortments and OEM programs.
• Translate retailer and partner requirements into actionable product development briefs.
• Collaborate on product concepts, packaging, and merchandising strategies tailored to retail environments.
• Ensure programs meet brand standards, quality expectations, and delivery timelines.
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow PRG’s retail and OEM revenue channels.
• Forecast sales and manage revenue targets across major retail and OEM accounts.
• Monitor market trends, consumer demand, and competitive activity within the golf and sporting goods industries.
• Identify opportunities for exclusive retail programs, private label collections, and branded merchandise partnerships.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with marketing and creative teams to develop presentations, retail product concepts, and sales materials.
• Coordinate with operations and sourcing teams to ensure smooth production and fulfillment of retail and OEM programs.
• Communicate retailer requirements and timelines internally to ensure successful execution.
Qualifications
• 5–10 years of sales experience in retail account management, OEM, private label, or strategic brand partnerships.
• Experience working with big box retailers, national chains, or large retail accounts preferred.
• Strong background in consumer products, sporting goods, golf industry, or lifestyle accessories.
• Proven track record of managing high-value B2B relationships and growing revenue.
• Experience working cross-functionally with product development, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex accounts and projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, retail line reviews, and industry events.
Preferred Experience
• Experience working with major sporting goods retailers or golf retail channels.
• Understanding of retail merchandising strategies and product assortment planning.
• Experience managing private label programs for large retailers.
• Existing relationships within the golf industry or sporting goods retail sector.
• Knowledge of OEM product development and manufacturing processes.
