We are seeking an exceptional Head Chef (Executive Chef) to lead the culinary operations of a highly regarded Italian restaurant in Florida. This is a unique opportunity for a talented, ambitious chef with a passion for both authentic and contemporary Italian cuisine to take ownership of a respected kitchen and contribute to the restaurant's continued growth and success.

The ideal candidate is an energetic, hands-on culinary leader with extensive experience in Italian cuisine, a strong fine-dining background, and proven success in high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environments. Experience working in Michelin-starred or Michelin-recognized restaurants is highly desirable.


This role requires a chef who leads by example, thrives under pressure, inspires teams to perform at the highest level, and possesses the vision to elevate the guest experience through exceptional food, innovation, and operational excellence.


Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen (Mandatory)
  • Extensive professional experience specializing in Italian cuisine, including traditional, regional, and modern Italian cooking.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive culinary leadership experience, including senior kitchen management roles.
  • Proven experience in fine-dining restaurants.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-volume operations in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience training and developing culinary teams.
  • Deep understanding of Italian ingredients, techniques, traditions, and current culinary trends.
  • Strong financial acumen, including food cost control, labor management, and budgeting.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative leadership style.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary Leadership

  • Lead all kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and excellence in every dish served.
  • Develop, refine, and execute menus featuring both traditional regional Italian specialties and modern Italian-inspired cuisine.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, flavor, and authenticity.
  • Continuously innovate while respecting the foundations of classic Italian cooking.
  • Oversee recipe development, costing, portion control, and menu engineering.

Team Management & Development

  • Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff at all levels.
  • Foster a positive, disciplined, and performance-driven kitchen culture.
  • Conduct ongoing training programs to improve culinary techniques, food knowledge, and operational standards.
  • Lead by example through active participation in daily service and preparation.
  • Create clear performance expectations and accountability throughout the kitchen team.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage food and labor costs while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations.
  • Monitor inventory, purchasing, vendor relationships, and product quality.
  • Optimize kitchen workflows and systems to support both efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with ownership and management on business goals and strategic initiatives.

Guest Experience

  • Ensure every guest receives a memorable dining experience through outstanding culinary execution.
  • Respond effectively to guest feedback and evolving market trends.
  • Support special events, chef's tastings, wine dinners, and promotional initiatives.
