Restaurant General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Restaurant General Manager to leave the big city and take the helm of our upscale dining concept, steeped in local history and architectural charm. Nestled in a picturesque small town between Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, IN, a regional hub for art and entertainment, the restaurant's future depends on a leader who can build a new legacy from the inside out. This isn't a role for someone looking to maintain the status quo; it’s a mission to improve food consistency, elevate guest experience, and breathe life into a healthy workplace culture.

Core Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Execute a food and beverage strategy focused on guest satisfaction, profitability, and operational excellence.
• Financial Management: Manage annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and provide regular analysis of sales, labor efficiency, and cost controls.
• Team Development: Hire, mentor, and inspire a diverse team to maintain high service standards across all outlets.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure a safe, compliant, and sanitary environment while optimizing workflows for both FOH and BOH.
• Brand Ambassador: Act as a visible leader to cultivate guest relationships and collaborate with marketing teams on promotional campaigns and high-profile events.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience: 5–10 years of leadership experience in an upscale dining hospitality role.
• Expertise: Proven track record in financial acumen, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and the ability to build and maintain a healthy workplace culture.
• Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Aloha POS.
• Education: A bachelor’s degree and wine certification are preferred.

Compensation:

• Annual Base Salary: $85,000 - $100,000
• Bonus: 10% annual bonus potential paid annually
