Restaurant General Manager – Culinary & Operations Focus

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 DOE + Bonus Eligible

About the Role
Foothills Local Meats is seeking an experienced and highly capable Restaurant General Manager to oversee operations across our Black Mountain hospitality campus, including multiple guest-facing concepts operating from a shared culinary infrastructure.
This role is designed for a hands-on operator with strong culinary understanding, capable of leading both front and back of house performance while partnering closely with the Executive Chef to ensure excellence in food, service, and operational execution.
The ideal candidate is more than a traditional FOH manager. They bring a well-rounded hospitality background, understand kitchen operations deeply enough to lead with credibility, and can drive accountability across all departments while balancing strategic oversight with day-to-day execution.
What You’ll DoProperty Leadership & Team Development
- Serve as the senior on-site operational leader for all Black Mountain hospitality operations
- Lead, coach, and develop management teams across FOH and BOH
- Build a culture of accountability, hospitality, urgency, and teamwork
- Provide real-time coaching and leadership during service and operational shifts
- Partner with department leaders to identify talent and develop future leaders
Culinary & Operational Oversight
- Work directly with the Executive Chef to ensure alignment between culinary execution and operational standards
- Maintain enough culinary presence and knowledge to evaluate kitchen performance, execution standards, prep systems, and labor deployment
- Hold department leaders accountable to standards of quality, cleanliness, organization, and readiness
- Ensure FOH and BOH operate in sync to deliver a seamless guest experience
Financial & Business Management
- Own labor performance, scheduling oversight, and productivity across departments
- Partner with culinary leadership on inventory, ordering discipline, waste reduction, and COGS performance
- Monitor and drive performance against sales, labor, and profitability targets
- Analyze reporting and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement
Systems, Standards & Strategic Execution
- Help refine, implement, and enforce SOPs across all departments
- Improve operational systems, service flow, and interdepartmental communication
- Participate in leadership planning, strategic initiatives, and company-wide operational development
- Act as a key driver of property growth, performance, and long-term operational excellence
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years of senior restaurant management experience in high-volume or complex hospitality environments
- Strong understanding of both FOH and BOH operations, with enough culinary knowledge to lead kitchen leadership effectively
- Proven ability to manage through other leaders and hold teams accountable at all levels
- Experience with labor management, inventory controls, cost analysis, and operational systems
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Highly organized with strong situational awareness and decision-making ability
- A hands-on leadership style with a bias toward action and accountability
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience overseeing multi-outlet, multi-concept, or chef-driven hospitality operations
- Experience managing Executive Chefs, Sous Chefs, or culinary leadership teams
- Familiarity with inventory and costing systems such as Toast, ExtraChef, or similar platforms
Compensation & Benefits
- $65,000–$75,000 depending on experience
