White Lodging is looking for an Executive Sous Chef to join the culinary team at Corner Restaurant — located inside the iconic JW Marriott Austin.
This is more than a sous chef role. It's an Executive Chef in training opportunity for a culinary leader who's ready to own the kitchen, develop a passionate team, and deliver a dining experience that matches the prestige of a JW Marriott property.
What you'll do
- Lead all BOH operations and food quality across every outlet and meal period
- Partner with the Executive Chef on menu development, recipe execution, and food cost targets
- Train, mentor, and grow a high-performing culinary team
- Manage staffing, scheduling, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Collaborate with Events and Sales to elevate banquet and special event experience
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of progressive Chef experience in a hotel, resort, or high-volume kitchen
- A proven track record of developing teams and driving internal promotion
- Strong financial acumen — food cost, labor, and budget management
- Deep expertise in menu creation and food safety compliance
