How you'll make an impact in this role

  • While still maintaining own patient load, support the transition of new colleagues by serving as a dedicated peer preceptor, helping new hires find their footing and feel welcomed within the team.
  • Ease the adoption of unit technology by providing hands-on help with clinical applications and communication tools, ensuring everyone can navigate our systems with confidence.
  • Share technical expertise as a resource person for specialized equipment like ventilators and high-flow systems, offering a helping hand to peers during complex setups.
  • Guide the onboarding journey by walking alongside new associates during their clinical shadow days to ensure they meet their initial training milestones.
  • Assist with clinical readiness by helping new team members secure the necessary credentials and system access they need to provide safe, compliant patient care.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional letter will be accepted until license is issued.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional requirements you'll need

2 years RT experience preferred.
