Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Respiratory Therapist, you will provide essential direct patient care, assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory disorders. Your role is vital for improving patient outcomes.

Every day you will assess respiratory status, implement treatment plans (oxygen, ventilation, airway management), and educate patients/families. You'll document interventions and collaborate with physicians and medical staff.

To be successful, you will demonstrate strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and equipment proficiency. Excellent communication for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration, plus a commitment to safety and continuous development, are essential.

  • Performs full range of basic respiratory care for all patient populations.
  • Performs and documents a complete patient assessment including (but not limited to) vital signs, breath sounds, cough, and respiratory pattern with each ventilator system check and with each treatment.
  • Checks all equipment and respiratory modalities (including invasive and non-invasive), maintains alarms and documents accurately and completely.
  • Performs ABGs utilizing 2 patient identifiers, properly handles blood specimens, reports critical values, and maintains blood gas lab logs (where applicable).
  • Accurately completes patient billing.
  • Correctly charges, labels, scans and discards medications.

Required

  • Graduate of an AMA Respiratory TherapyProgram, upon hire
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner: AZ, upon hire and
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist, upon hire or
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and


Preferred

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire
