Riverbend Landscapes & Tree Service (Riverbend) is a locally owned and operated company serving Northern Virginia, Montgomery County Maryland, and Washington DC since 2016. Founded by ISA Certified Arborist Logan Jones, the company provides comprehensive tree care and landscape services with a team of experienced, ISA certified arborists and landscape professionals. Riverbend specializes in tree removal, pruning, tree health management, emergency services, landscape maintenance, drainage solutions, and land clearing.

Role Description

We are seeking a Residential Sales Arborist for a full-time role located on-site in Sterling, VA. The responsibilities include advising clients on tree and landscape care, conducting property assessments, identifying tree species and needs, preparing proposals for tree services and meeting or exceeding sales quotas as defined by Riverbend leadership. The role also involves building strong client relationships, managing project timelines, collaborating with field crews, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met throughout the process.

Role Overview

Status: Full-Time

Pay Structure: Base Salary + Commission

Other benefits: PTO, Holidays, 401K, Company Vehicle and Company-Sponsored Insurance

Pay Rate: $60,000 Annual Base Salary + Commission

On Target Earnings: $130,000 - $180,000

Location: On-Site (in office 5 days per week)

Reports to: Sales Director

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Arboriculture and expertise in Trees
• 3+ years experience in a quota-carrying sales position with a provem track record of success
• Active ISA-Certified Arborist credentials (required) or equivalent qualifications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage and organize multiple projects efficiently
• Familiarity with safety practices in arboriculture and landscaping
• A valid driver's license and ability to drive to client locations
• Located in Northern Virginia or willing to commute to the company office in Sterling, VA for regular team meetings and coordination
• Comfortable using CRM systems, tablets, and estimating software
• Ability to manage multiple estimates, follow-ups, and customer relationships simultaneously

Candidates must possess an active ISA-certified arborist credential from the International Society of Arboriculture to be considered for this position.
