ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for monitoring the residential program for participants
2. Provide individualized tutoring assistance to participants
3. Plan, organize, and carry out small and large group activities
4. Accompany central staff and participants on educational, social, and cultural trips
5. Communicate regularly with Central Staff and Summer Support Team
6. Some weekend hours required to fulfill duties
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or significant progress toward completion of bachelor’s degree. Must be eligible for full-time employment during program dates.
Experience: Classroom or related experience and the ability to provide engaging instruction
Skills: Possess leadership potential; good decision making skills; initiative and strong interpersonal skills; team-oriented; energetic; responsible; creative; knowledge of effective teaching/learning process; ability to work with high school students; ability to communicate clearly in English language both orally and in print; maintain confidentiality; possess problem-solving skills; be open to diverse backgrounds of students; have the ability to walk long distances; participate in outdoor activities; work extended hours with a positive attitude; basic Microsoft Office and Internet skills; have the ability to utilize voice calls and text messaging on personal phone during work hours
WORKING CONDITIONS: Full-time (June 1 – July 11, 2026). Live in a residential setting for the summer session of six weeks
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to walk long distances; participate in outdoor activities; ability to work extended hours with a positive attitude
SALARY: $15/hr in addition to room and board; rate determined by approved grant and available grant funds; multiple positions available
