Research Data Analyst
The research data analyst will join a team of analysts, traders, sales and IT professionals in producing independent, data-driven economic research for institutional investors through the Arbor Data Science (ADS) research platform. ADS focuses on utilizing alternative data to identify emerging trends in specialized market segments. Ideal candidates should be self-starters, able to quickly analyze markets independently, communicate well via written and spoken word, and operate both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities
• Collect and transfer data from traditional and alternative sources into reporting templates and Tableau dashboards
• Ensure the timely update and accuracy of daily and weekly visual reports for client distribution
• Manage and refresh existing charts to reflect the most current market data
• Monitor market news to identify and flag emerging topics for the research team
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related fields
• Knowledge of or strong interest in financial markets
• Strong written and visual presentation skills – experience with Tableau or related visualization tools preferred
• Proficiency in Excel
• Exposure to programming languages such as Python or R
• Ability to multi-task
