Job Title: Research Assistant
Job Description

Join our team as a Research Assistant, where you will perform daily clinic tasks to support coordinators with study procedures. Your role will involve administering Electronic Self-Assessment Questionnaires, assisting with the check-in process, obtaining informed consent, and providing support with instrumentation and photography. You will also handle administrative tasks such as preparing test materials, making appointment reminders, and quality-checking study documents. You will be expected to report to the clinic on time for all assigned studies and perform tasks in accordance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines, applicable regulations, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist coordinators with study procedures including ESAQ administration and check-in processes.
  • Support coordinators with administrative tasks such as test material preparation and appointment reminders.
  • Quality-check study documents and assist in the development of study paperwork.
  • Report to the clinic on time for all assigned studies.
  • Perform tasks according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and panelists.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interaction with peers and leadership.
  • Comply with and understand safety and Operational Integrity procedures and processes.
Essential Skills
  • Customer service oriented with medical knowledge.
  • Ability to examine participants and provide initial condition ratings.
  • Previous medical experience required (e.g., Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Spa experience).
  • Previous dermatology experience is ideal.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and study protocols according to GCP guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • BS degree in a Science (e.g., Microbiology, Health Studies, Biology, Chemistry).
  • Interest in Cosmetics.
  • Previous lab experience preferred.
Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment within a cosmetics research office. The current schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Once sequester studies begin in late September/October, some studies will be 8 hours and others 12 hours, starting at 6 or 7am and continuing through the end of the study. If working a 12-hour study, the following day will be a shorter workday. Standard office equipment such as computers and phones are routinely used.

This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
